DISCUSSION. This species has
been previously known only from the type specimens from an unknown
locality in the Mojave Desert. It is evidently nearest to N.
minor and superficially looks much like that ant. However, the
ocelli are much smaller and are not placed on a prominently raised
area.
The recently described N. nyensis
Watkins of Nevada may be the worker form of this species.
